A look behind the scenes at the several-year journey of making Trevor and Carrie Juenger's horror fantasy epic The Man in Room 6.

Carrie (Jackie Kelly) is a socially-troubled young woman trying to mend a strained relationship with her mother. After her grandfather dies in a nursing home, Carrie finds herself attracted to William (Bill Oberst Jr.), an elderly man in a neighboring room. William's doctor offers Carrie a part-time position with the nursing home to keep tabs on the old man. William shares a series of tall tales from his life as a younger man. He claims to be immortal, cursed to never die but to grow old and sick. Before he can finish his final tale, William mysteriously disappears, and Carrie is implicated in his murder.

The Man in Room 17 is a British television series which ran for two seasons in the mid-1960s, produced by the Northern ITV franchise, Granada Television. Key to the series' success was the involvement of writer/producer Robin Chapman.The show was set in Room 17 of the Department of Social Research, where former wartime agent-turned-criminologist Edwin Oldenshaw solved difficult police cases through theory and discussions with his assistants.The novelty of the series was that Oldenshaw and his colleagues never needed to leave their office in order to resolve cases, preferring to spend their time playing the Japanese board game of Go. They simply provided their prognosis and left the police to do the cleaning up. Different directors were often appointed to film the Room 17 and outside-world scenes independently, to maintain a sense of distance between the two worlds.

Piang, an ordinary girl, who was born with a sixth sense that makes her able to see any spirit, gets an urgent mission to take care of her aunt’s mansion. However, something scares her, and she faints before even reaching the room. She thinks she saw a spirit, but actually, it was just a ghost show her ex-boyfriend, Guy, who was filming a woman who secretly fell for him from room no. 6, Belle, starred as the ghost. After Guy learns that Piang has such a talent, he then asks her to help him make the show and sell it to a TV channel. Mysterious things happen when Guy edits the files and finds out that Belle completely disappeared from the scene. He asks her to re-shoot and Belle is more than happy to help; that's the first time he finds he cannot see Belle in the mirror!
